Terms & Conditions
Trading terms for CtrlOn goods, online orders and technical services.
Effective date: 29 September 2026
Supplier: CTRLON GROUP LTD (company no. 17389121), registered in England and Wales. Registered office: 71–75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ. Email info@ctrlon.co.uk. The registered office is not a customer collection or returns address.
1. These terms
These terms apply to ctrlon.co.uk and to goods and services supplied by CtrlOn. A quotation, statement of work, account agreement or other written terms may add to these terms for a specific job. If specifically agreed terms conflict with these general terms, the specifically agreed terms take priority for that transaction.
2. Product information and compatibility
Industrial and garage-equipment components can look identical while differing in voltage, contacts, dimensions, software, pressure rating or safety function. Images help identification but do not prove compatibility. Unless CtrlOn confirms compatibility in writing for a stated application, the customer must check the manufacturer reference, specification, rating and fit before installation. Safety-critical parts must be selected and fitted by a competent person.
3. Prices, tax and quotations
Prices are in pounds sterling. The checkout shows the amount payable for stocked online items plus delivery before payment. Any applicable VAT or other tax treatment will be stated where relevant. Quotations are valid for the period shown and may change if scope, supplier pricing, quantities or delivery requirements change before acceptance. We may correct an obvious pricing or description error before accepting an order.
4. Orders and contract formation
Submitting an order is an offer to buy. A contract is formed when CtrlOn accepts the order, sends an order confirmation or starts supply, whichever occurs first. We may refuse or cancel before acceptance if stock is unavailable, payment fails, a specification is uncertain, supply would be unsafe or unlawful, or an obvious error has occurred. Any payment already taken for a cancelled order will be refunded.
5. Payment
Online card payments are processed by Stripe. Invoice or account terms apply only where agreed in writing. We may pause dispatch or services while undisputed overdue amounts remain unpaid.
6. Delivery
Standard tracked UK parcel delivery is £12. Delivery is free on parts orders of £180 or more. Eligible in-stock UK mainland orders placed before 4pm on a working day are normally dispatched that working day for next-working-day delivery. This is a service aim, not a guaranteed arrival time unless a guaranteed service is expressly agreed. Postcode, bank-holiday, carrier, weather and other exceptions may apply. Oversized, heavy, palletised, fragile or restricted shipments may require a separate quotation. See Delivery & Returns.
7. Consumers — cancellation of goods
If you are a consumer buying at a distance, you normally have 14 days after delivery to tell us you wish to cancel eligible goods, followed by 14 days to return them. Statutory exceptions can apply, including certain made-to-order or personalised items. You are normally responsible for the direct cost of a change-of-mind return unless we agree otherwise. Your statutory rights for faulty, damaged or misdescribed goods are not affected.
8. Consumers — services
If a consumer books a service at a distance, a statutory cancellation period may apply. If you expressly ask us to begin during that period, you may have to pay a proportionate amount for work performed before cancellation. If the service has been fully performed after the required request and acknowledgement, the cancellation right may end. Any applicable cancellation information will be confirmed with the booking or quotation.
9. Business returns
Consumer cancellation rights do not apply to purchases made wholly or mainly for business purposes. Non-faulty business returns require prior written authorisation and may be refused for special-order, sourced-to-request, configured, fitted or used items. Any agreed carriage, inspection or restocking charge will be confirmed before the return is accepted.
10. Faulty or incorrect goods
Contact us promptly if goods arrive damaged, incorrect or faulty. Stop using any component that may present a safety risk. Remedies depend on the circumstances, the customer type and applicable law, and may include repair, replacement, price reduction or refund.
11. Technical support and field work
Technical support is based on the information made available to us. Remote diagnosis or part identification is not a statutory inspection, thorough examination, conformity assessment or certification unless expressly stated in a separate written scope. Site work depends on safe access, isolation, correct equipment information, appropriate competence and customer authorisation. We may stop or refuse work where conditions are unsafe or the requested activity is outside the agreed or lawful scope.
12. Customer responsibilities
You must provide accurate equipment, fault, site and contact information; disclose known hazards; obtain necessary permissions; provide safe access and isolation arrangements; and ensure competent installation and use. Do not bypass protective devices or safety circuits based on website content or remote advice.
13. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or mandatory consumer rights. For business customers only, and to the fullest extent permitted by law, CtrlOn is not liable for indirect or consequential loss or for loss of profit, revenue, production, opportunity or anticipated savings. Subject to liabilities that cannot be limited, our aggregate liability for a particular supply is limited to the amount paid or payable for that supply.
14. Intellectual property
CtrlOn branding, original website content, reports, layouts and documentation remain protected by applicable intellectual-property rights. Manufacturer names and trademarks belong to their respective owners and are used for identification where appropriate.
15. Events outside reasonable control
We are not responsible for delay or failure caused by events outside our reasonable control, including carrier disruption, supplier failure, shortage, industrial action, power or network outage, extreme weather or government action. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.
16. Complaints and disputes
Contact info@ctrlon.co.uk with the order or job reference and the issue. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Consumers retain any mandatory rights relating to the courts available to them. Business disputes are subject to the courts of England and Wales unless agreed otherwise in writing.
